StarCraft sequel is planning to release later this year after 11 years of the first one developed by Blizzard Entertainment, also the developer of World of WarCraft. StarCraft sold more than 11 million copies worldwide and it is one of the best-selling video games for PC.

Mike Morhaime, president of Blizzard, confirmed at E3 2009 but he also quoted, “We’re targeting an end of year release this year for StarCraft II,” “But as always, we won’t release it until it meets our standards and the expectations of our players.”
StarCraft II beta is opening this summer.
